Introducing GMU UNICEF's September Member of the Month, Yabekale Teshome! Yabekale is a junior here at George Mason University studying Economics. Her hobbies include road tripping and Netflix. She says that she joined UNICEF "because it is a way to connect with people that have similar interest and goals as you when it come to giving back to the community. It is a great way to start making a difference." UNICEF means something different to everyone, but to Yabekale it is a team of people that you can bounce ideas off of one another in a way that makes a team more effective in addressing its mission. She also says that "it's a group of people with whom you can share what you're passionate about and learn from on another." Yabekale says she is excited for the service project coming up, Food For All DC because it's a great way to see the difference we are capable of making directly and a way to give back that is applicable to everyone! We are grateful for Yabekale's continued dedication to UNICEF and its mission of being for every child.
